From Agnitum LTD. Today:

Dear Reader,
As you remember, following the termination of Agnitum operations Outpost updates and technical support were stopped on January 9, 2017. To ensure continuous protection for your computer, Agnitum ran a free Outpost-to-Kaspersky migration campaign for active Outpost license holders from December 15, 2016, until January 31, 2017.

Mindful of numerous requests from Outpost users we are extending the free migration campaign period until February 28!

This is the last chance: exchange an active Outpost license for Kaspersky Internet Security at no cost. The offer ends on February 28, 2017.

On March 1, 2017, the Agnitum website and tech support form will be deactivated.

As before, the products taking part in the exchange program are Outpost Antivirus Pro, Outpost Firewall Pro, Outpost Security Suite Pro, Outpost Network Security.

PLEASE NOTE! The migration can be only performed once. In case you’ve already exchanged your Outpost license, please ignore this message.

Visit this migration page and get a full license to Kaspersky Internet Security for free!
Any questions? Let us know!

Thank you having been a user of the Outpost products!
With best wishes,
Your Agnitum Team

« on: December 31, 2016, 04:11:22 pm »

Every New Year people get you some presents but your best present you get never changes,
Your own existence! It is also your best present to others!

I used to have this toy, a magic slate. You wrote or drew on it and then, just by pulling up the plastic cover, everything you
did disappeared and you could start new. Maybe everyone feels that on New Year’s Eve. They can pull up the magic sheet and rewrite their lives.

Security & Technology News / Malwarebytes Acquires AdwCleaner
« on: October 19, 2016, 07:29:35 pm »
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – October 19, 2016 – Malwarebytes™, the leading advanced malware prevention and remediation solution, today announced the acquisition of AdwCleaner, one of the world’s most frequently downloaded tools for removing potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), adware, toolbars and other unwanted software.

Consumers and businesses download AdwCleaner more than 200,000 times per day, making it one of the most downloaded products on many sites. Installed around 200 million times, AdwCleaner has proven effective against bloatware, questionable software and specific types of malware.

The AdwCleaner story mirrors that of Malwarebytes in many ways. Founded in 2011 by three 17 year-old French students, AdwCleaner quickly grew in popularity over the years. Jérôme Boursier and Corentin Chepeau, two of the founders who have been continued their involvement while attending university in France, released the sixth major version in 2016. Ever since, the two developers have helped it grow quickly across the world. Both Boursier and Chepeau will now join Malwarebytes in engineering and research roles.

Members Corkboard / Memorial Day of the Year 2016
« on: May 30, 2016, 08:06:34 pm »
“We do not know one promise these men made, one pledge they gave, one word they spoke; but we do know they summed up and perfected, by one supreme act, the highest virtues of men and citizens. For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue.”

The History of Memorial Day
Originally called Decoration Day, from the early tradition of decorating graves with flowers, wreaths and flags, Memorial Day is a day for remembrance of those who have died in service to our country. It was first widely observed on May 30, 1868 to commemorate the sacrifices of Civil War soldiers, by proclamation of Gen. John A. Logan of the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of former Union sailors and soldiers.
