Just installed 4.70 on my box and the daughter's lappy (echhhhh W10 bleughhhh!).

No real problems, but takes an awful long time to show its face on-screen the first time I call it after a start  up.  Once I have its attention it's very prompt onscreen but.

Dunno if it's a bug or just 'cos it's naturally suspicious, but after a few snapshots etc it still wouldn't allow any part of Lotus Smartsuite until I put it in Training Mode and lit up all my Lotus apps underneath it.  It's happy now.  FWIW, I was starting them from both SmartCenter and the Windows Start Menu, just to see if Command Lines were involved: apparently not.

I do have a registration to update on 4-01-19, but...  The big problem here is that ATM I don't quite see the need to upgrade, but as long as I click "No", I have no shield.  The VS service stays running but.

If necessary I can renew my rego early, however I do want to avoid "renewal creep" if at all possible.

EDIT: Silly me  :-[  It's the New Year's Bug of course  :(  I've worked around it by sliding the notice off-screen, but we do need a fix.  The problem may possibly lie in some bad arithmetic, see my second attachment.
END EDIT.

I'll probably face the same issue in February of this year!

Thinking on it a bit further I'm no longer sure the two are connected.  It is possible Dan was just trying to send a message that updating to a current version is a Really Good Idea...

Back last century when I was doing some coding I used to adjust all times/dates to Zulu, GMT it was in those days.  That way I didn't have to worry what time-zone a client lived in.  And we discovered that calculating the "days remaining" was an RPITA.  It was much smoother to simply show the date/time for an action in Zulu and let them do the arithmetic.  A bit of fuzziness didn't hurt either--anything within a week each side could be taken back/forward to the Date Of Record with no hard feelings.

Hey guys, I really am almost caught up and will be with your shortly ;).

Really quick... here is 4.71.  I had completely reworked major parts of the toggling in 4.70, and it was almost right, but it acted a little goofy at times.  So after fixing the issue, I ran VS 4.71 for 2-3 days and it seems to be working just right.  But if there are any issues, please let me know.  Thank you!

Ran into a little problem when installing v4.71 over the top of v4.67 . It just wouldn't end the install as per the first screenshot. Plus, I got the following error message, too.

Hi Tarnak,

Happy New Year! Long time no hear...but..

I installed v4.71 over v4.69 if my memory serves me right since I am not at my computer right now. But I did not have any issues installing. Sorry to hear you did though. :(

Can I cap the entries on the User Log? If so... I can't seem to find my way there.

UPDATE1: Continuing to get notifications when double clicking PNG files to launch Preview w/4.71

Snappy install over the top here, plus it restarted in my preferred mode. Thanks Dan!   8)

You have to shut down VS before updating to the next version. I see from your pictures it's still running.

Dan - I had an issue with VS today. VS GUI froze my screen -> I changed Mode and Posture, saved settings, closed UI. When I reopened UI it froze completely.  ??? I could not perform any action on PC except normal restart. VS back to normal after restart. I just thought you should know.
