Thank you Dan.
I have just installed 1.04 and I got that Whitelist was not signed and could nt be trusted but it is OK now.

Thank you Dan.
No problems with the latest build, it seems to be running like a dream on this end.

Another nice feature is you can click on any Whitelistred File and it will show you details! Again if you click on the File Path it will open it's location. Another nice feature you can click on the File Hash to copy to Clipboard and then enter into VT if you like. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/dc788dee643f430e19bd67042274d5ae2e5a9213b9900282fac6995fbb4d4ebf/detection

I noticed at the weekend that the hash could be copied to the clipboard, a little extra that is very useful.

This is my W10 now.
2 to about 3% is about the norm though.
Cool, thank you Jasper, please try 1.01, hopefully it will be 0 ;).

Yes it is 0 now.
The GUI was there last night but is not there now. It could be something with this system but if it is there later on I will let you know.
I have just done a reinstall to see if that helps at this end.
Very cool about the cpu utilization!  The fix was to limit the process creation mechanism in the service to just the PID and the Process Path, instead of the entire process.  I would have done it that way from the beginning, but both of my machines that I had WC installed on essentially had 0 cpu utilization the entire time, so I just left it as it was, just in case we needed some of the other process info for something else later on.

That is very odd about the GUI.  So that we are on the same page, what happens when you double click the WC tray icon?  Thank you!

Sorted I hope and it is possible it was down to me. I have my Taskbar always on top and it could have been hiding behind that. When I looked tonight as soon as I switched the laptop on it was coloured red as a tray icon - a false positive.
I will let you know though if the problem does come back.

Just returned home, switched on my laptop and although Whitelist is working in the background according to the task manager the GUI is not loading at all.
Thank you for letting me know Jasper!  Are there any errors in the C:\ProgramData\WhitelistCloud\DeveloperLog (or DeveloperServiceLog)?

In the DeveloperLog it is clear but there is a load of stuff in DeveloperServiceLog.

Their ringleader lives in a state in the USA where this kind of behavior is punishable by criminal law, not just civil law.  It is one state out of a handful that do this.
If the things they say are not covered by the "freedom of speech" why not give them a friendly warning first and if they do it again a second (out of kindness) and after that the police/lawyers it is....
There are two main parts to this...

People have an absolute right to freedom of speech as long as what they are saying is true, otherwise they are subject to libel.  I actually appreciate constructive that people provide for VS... it is one of the things that made it what it is today.  But when people post absolute lies, they must be corrected.

People also have an absolute right to freedom of speech as long as they do not coerce, intimidate, harass or stalk other people.

The ringleader is guilty of all of the above and he is fully aware that I have massive amounts of evidence to substantiate this, and his writing style includes 4-5 major characteristics that are a dead giveaway.  They are as telling as the cookie crumbs on a 5 year old's face who was caught sneaking cookies from the cookie jar.  I believe he has been trying to bait me for several years so that I would post something that was untrue about the ringleader so he could sue me for libel, but truth is an absolute defense to libel, so I have been very careful to be 100% honest, simply to deprive him of that opportunity.

I have provided him with many warnings, two on page 13 of this thread alone, which he has responded to.  He believes that his VPN will protect him, but trust me, it will not.  I do not even use a VPN, instead I exercise the truth.

Trust me, this will all be over soon, and I apologize that it has been necessary to make this public.  Thank you guys!

As far as I can see there is nothing for you apologize for at all. It is just a shame there are people like that out there who seem to enjoy causing so much hassle for people.

I have downloaded it and I will give it a run tomorrow. I would do it now but I am busy backing up my system.

I agree totally with Baldrick.
They know the law and they are willingly breaking it so they deserve nothing less than feeling the full weight of the law.

Hey everyone, sorry I have been so busy.  I finally wrapped up that project for a client of mine the other day, so things will return to normal after the holidays.

MikeV found a bug that might have been slowing down some processes while starting.  If your system was already super fast with VS, then you probably will not notice a difference, but if you were experiencing any system slowdown issues with VS installed, then I am hoping this will fix the issue.  Basically VS was checking the Program Files and Windows special folder rule at times when it should not have been.  It did not hurt anything either way, but it is just more efficient to skip these rules if, for example, the process has already been allowed by another rule.

There are a few other small tweaks and bug fixes in 2.69, but nothing major.

I see that I have some PM's and posts to reply to, and I hope to be able to get to them before Christmas, but if not, I will reply to them asap.

Happy holidays everyone, and have a great Christmas, talk to you soon!  Thank you guys!

Thank you Dan
I have not noticed any slowdowns here but I have updated without any issues at all and it is all running smoothly.
