Emsisoft Emergency Kit is safe software.
It does not install anything "extra", no browser toolbars or other crap.
Emsisoft Emergency Kit is FREE software, so it´s OK to download and give it to your friends etc.

NOTE: Although Emsisoft says; "Runs On: Win XP, Vista, 7 & 8", it works just fine also on a server-O/S,
I have used it on WS2008-R2....

Even though it was released almost 2 months ago, (2015-06-17) it´s still (really good) news....

Tip:
It´s a good idea to have recoverytools like Emsisoft Emergency Kit on a USB-memory.
Create a bootable USB-memory using fx. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
Direct-download: http://wudt.codeplex.com/downloads/get/96313
Put fx. the W7 installation-disk on the USB-memory.

Then copy Emsisoft Emergency Kit to the USB-memory.
If your computer gets infected and doesn´t start your O/S,
then you can boot the computer from the USB-memory and run Emsisoft Emergency Kit.

I have it.

Note it can take a long time to update so once you get it try to remember to update it once a week.

The first update after installation might take some time, especially  if you have a slow connection because it have to download all signatures.
Normal updates, like doing it daily or 2-3 times per week doesn´t take long, less than 5 minutes.
And i only got an 8 Mbit/s connection....
But of course if you only update once ot twice every month, then it can take some time.

I had the paid Emsisoft Anti-Malware I got free from old CoU and liked it but it would update more than once a day.

Have not paid for an Anti-Virus in so long I for when I stopped paying but maybe 2001 or 2003.

But I got Online Armor that is going to run out and need to get something so I need to get something and I will think about paying for Emsisoft Internet Security to get an Antivirus & Anti-Malware & Firewall, all-in-one.

You are not "forced" to update EAM several times a day if you don´t want to....

I was talking about the paid version that auto updates so it happens fast because it does so many times a day.

Yes i understand, but you said:
I had the paid Emsisoft Anti-Malware I got free from old CoU and liked it but it would update more than once a day.
which sounded that you didn´t like the frequent updates....

No I loved the Emsisoft Anti-Malware I got free from old CoU. It keeps getting better.

Updates are very long but when you have auto update then it updates many times a day so you never have to worry.

I got 66 days left on Online Armor so may as well update everything to the new Emsisoft Internet Security.

We should keep this thread on topic (Emsisoft Emergency Kit 10).....
But, one last thing: Emsisoft Internet Security (EIS) is not EAM + OA.
It´s EAM + "OA-light".
But that can be discussed in another thread...
