Oh well, it's no disaster if I'm wrong (which is very well possible, it happened before) and it's a false alarm in this particular case.

But it's trivial to temporarily disable Quicktime by renaming its program folder or even re-installing it altogether.

Better safe than sorry ...

As for Apple's movie trailers, they're usually hype and I prefer waiting patiently until the whole movie is available.

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Premium protects QuickTime but I will go on to say that there is no guarantees with anything.
I used QuickTime many years ago but felt I didn't need it and haven't used it for at least 8 to 10 years.
